So, we use the 3th row seats all the time and if not we have the doggies, big boxes, bicycles/recumbent trikes, furniture, well you get the idea..

Most of the time our two kiddos (still on car seats, very bulky and heavy Recaro's) sometimes in the 3th row seats, but sometimes we take other kiddos or adults on the truck..

So far the only place I can find that is unused is where the stock AMP is locatede under the passenger front seat, but the space in between the structural beams of the floor is just to short (and I don't dare cutting it and reewelding it, even if I have the skills) can you ''persuaded'' into a Convave'' shape with out a massive detriment in structural integrity..??

The amp (will be ideal if I can install two) I have is a Rockford fostage T2003 that is about a inch to long to rest right at the very bottom of the seat valley and will be a shame to sell it just because of a little lack of space..

What secret tricks do you guys have to mount this monsters..??

I don't care hacking the none structural parts of the truck like the plastics, but I don't want my kiddos to burn their hands on the hot amps if I install them on the 3th row side walls or somewhere not ideal..

Thanks in advance..

Sometimes they even ride Inside..

I removed the factory subwoofer in the back and hid my amp there as I am now using a 10" Kicker in a plastic molded box. Tough as nails and hits super hard.

Great thinking...

My Amps are two channels, so will be ideal to run the two of them..

I don't think we need much Woofer because of the kiddos ears, but sure any of those Bazooka tubes will do the trick and can be move around as need it, or taking out if is no more space..

Gracias..

t3002 , 2.6 x 12.8 x 13.6 IN.

that's a little bigger than the RF I had behind the panel on the passenger side forward of the rear AC unit, but it might fit there. I had it mounted on a square of 1/2" wood. If you went with thin aluminum mount it might work well. Other side probably works also. I noticed the passenger side had more mounting options, screw holes already there, stuff like that. Also I liked power wire on that side of the LC. The again you'd have to measure.

It's probably too tall to mount under the seat on top of the stock amp. If someone were to lower the seat it would for sure come down on it. You could make seat risers under the mounts, but it's limited geometry wise because it stretches the length of the rails at the same time. I have used two thick washers on all four briefly on this truck until I finished the install.
That t3002 is a nice amp. But honestly, the space available is limited, even if you ditch NAV and stock amp. Class D isn't so bad considering efficiency and physical size.

I'm a lost finding the details and measurements and even pictures of the rear paasanger space, any clues where to get some specs even if they are just ball park figures..??

I have ''riv nut'' tool and I'm not afraid to use it..

I already made stagered spacers to lift the passanger seat, I guess I can just make them a little taller to gain the little extra space I need (taking/cutting the carpet will also help..)

consider this amp in the pic is 1.98 x 6.77 x 8.5 (in) I lied, that's 3.8" plywood on there. Also consider more room forward in front of the AC amplifier if you have one. You're looking for 5 more inches long... and looking at it now I think you're vertically challenged. idk man.
Don't bend the seat mount feet if you raise it up too high. Ditch the NAV ecu an set it on top of the stock amp or remove the stock amp and set nav back on top of your amp. It's messed up under there for sure. Bite the bullet and take out both side panels and have a look.

you say you don't have space under the seat? I read your first post again. this is 15 inches wide. No clearance issues. It's off the deck by an inch or two.

I put mine in the console where the six disk was. Fed nicely to the speakers. That's if your. Not using the six disk anymore

Not to thread jack, but any chance anyone is parting with their stock amp (part #86280-0W061)?

Looking to replace mine since it fritzed out over the weekend.

Thanks,
Jon

Sorry..

My AMP is about one inch to long to rear at the very bottom of the ''bowl'' under the seat, mostly do to the diagonal shape ''hump'' in the back of the structure..

Side to side it has about 3/4'' clearance, I guess I better take the seat out and do some more precise measurements and also take some pictures..

Man I spend 20 minutes writing about what I found then my little two year old hAcker wipe It clean..

I try to redo the posting later when they are sleeping..

Rockford Fostage T3002, will it fit under passanger seat..?? - ricardo kuhn (patineto)

Short story if I fit it ''Belly Up'' and with the connectors to the back of the seat it will fit, not optimal but it will fit nicelly..

And if I lift the seat rail mounts about 30mm higher (not so good for me and my silly long torzo) I can fit the second on right side up on top of the other one..
