Where do you draw the line on mileage?

After much internal debate and anguish, I've decided to acquire an FJ80 for double duty. I want something comfy enough that the wife could drive in bad weather, yet is can be relatively easy to modify enough to get through the Rubicon. So, I've found a couple semi-local with factory lockers in the $5k range. The price is certainly right, but they both have ~200k miles. From shopping around, I see lots being sold in the low 200's and pretty much zero in the low 100's. How do you guys feel about buying in at such high mileage? I don't need a commuter and this isn't a daily driver, but I've had 'Murican vehicles for so long that it's burned into my brain that buying something with this kind of mileage is going to result in lots of walking. I'm happy to tinker and replace whatever, but I do have an appreciation for reliability. Thanks in advance. :)

Shoot, I would have sworn I clicked on 80 tech. Can a mod move please?

This is more chat than tech, but my experience is that things are more likely to break the more miles it has. Chebbys, Fords and Chryslers more than Toyotas.

This would get more attention in chat.
