Where do LC200's get manufactured?

Was wondering in which parts of the world do they manufacture LC's?

Was offered a 2012 'VX Prestige' 4.5L TD lately, kind of wierd features put together, and though this might be a 'Chinese' version?

Are they all built same quality/reliability?

There are two assembly plants in Japan that build the TLC 200 last time I talked with Toyota. However what you might be seeing is the importer upgrades.

A large number of the middle east countries will import a factory lower spec and once in the country they install their own modifications. Example is the TLC 200 sold in Saudi have rear parking sensors installed by the importer and not Toyota to lower cost.

I know Toyota of Gibraltar does alot of these mods themselves also.

Another thing you have to be careful about is not all VX/VXR are the same. I have a VXR with cloth interior, radio/cd play with no display screen, no sunroof, and 18inch wheels, and rear tire carrier on the back. (basically a low low spec GX/GXR) this was one that was meant to be shipped to an importer for local upgrades.

True, given that Araco hasn't existed for about 10 years. However they are made in the Toyota Auto Body plant formerly known as Araco.
