For a 2005 4runner? I googled but can't find anyone that will finance "older"vehicles. I'm checking with a credit union as well.

Thanks!

We bought a 2005 4Runner about 8 months ago and got financing from Toyota and we just refinanced it through a credit union for better rates. You can still get financing just not for as many months as a newer one.

The interest prob. wont be as good either. MIke

From Toyota it defiantly wasn't good, that's why we refinanced through our credit union and with them we got a great interest rate. :D

I finance mine through my insurance, State Farm. They always beat the dealerships by a lot.

I'm glad going there worked for you, but they were high for me. The Dealership wanted 8%, State Farm wanted 13%, and my credit union only wanted 3.8%. Our credit union for some reason has always been the lowest.

My suggestion is try a few places and get the best rate. Not knowing what your credit/situation is like if need be take the higher rate first and pay early and maybe even a bit more for roughly 6months and then possibly refinance for a lower rate. This sometimes can show lenders your a good risk or at least that's what I heard somewhere.

Who is your credit union? Thanks, MIke

Texas Trust Credit Union

FWIW: Clark Howard (financial guru)
recommends credit unions as others have suggested for the best rate on auto loans.

I'm a member of a credit union that offers good deals on financing every couple months. They will do 2.99 on any year, miles, etc...

X2 on credit unions!
