Just what it says. Have a 80 fj40, rebuilding the front axle. Rotor was cracked need a new one. Tried a couple of part stores, and the stealership and each time sent the wrong one.........is there something im missing? On my junk the rotor bolts to the hub. Every rotor i have received is missing those holes, just has the lug holes, what gives????

thanks
mark

Tell your parts rats to find you a rotor for a 1977 40 series...

If they cannot come up with a different part number than the wrong one, find a different parts house.

so the stealership couldn't come up with any thing. same part number listed for 77 on up. Just wondering if im the only one, that has had this problem? A rotor should not be this hard to find.

Try one of the cruiser shops in the Mud directory. Last time I was at Man-A Fre there were some on the shelf. If you order them be sure to make the salesman accountable. Tell them to personally verify the rotor is correct ( open the box before you assume ). I went through there shelf and found 5 mis-boxed rotors. Late style with the early part #'s.
In a pinch you can drill the rotors, two holes should already be there

vented rotors for the later +8/80 FJ40 & all FJ60 use:
Toyota: # 43512-6010
Napa: #85799
Bendix/Wearever: #141510
use these rotors when donor FDB axle parts are from any FJ60 or 81-85 4WD minitruck

When you replace a solid rotor with a vented style you must also install a caliper from a vented rotor application as the solid disc mini truck caliper will not work with the vented rotor.
