I went to my local Toyota parts dealer yesterday and inquired about replacement connectors for the MAF, TPS and Alternator (i have broken locking tabs and more). He looked for them on his computer and told me I need to give him the number casted into the connector body. Is that fact or fiction? Help here appreciated.

It helps to have the number off the connector itself, but you can find them by looking at the images in the ewd and cross referencing them with the connector repair manual catalog.

Easiest to find the number on the connection (if possible) then add the prefix (90980) to complete the part number.

For example your Alternator Connector:

I have the connector but my wires brittle, does anyone know the part number for the repair wire kit to go with the connector?

I also noticed many 97's have multiple wires in their connectors, mine only has 1 wire, do i not have an 80 amp maybe?

Go to Ballenger Motorsports, put the five digit Toyota connector part number into the search bar.
They sell the bare connectors, and kits including pins and seals, and connectors with 6" pigtails
