I was to get rear disk brakes today. Instructions called for backing plates removed, for which we had to pull out the axle shafts. Sooner than not, we got stopped cold when we couldn't find a way to get the C-clips out.
After some staring at it, we called ARB, only to be told that this was a REALLY old model, and they would first have to place a few phone calls themselves..........seems like that PO way back when was a real pioneer..........LOL
so, instead, I clean and vacuum the cruiser
, try to seal the washer fluid bottle one more time, Michael fixes the tail pipe hanger on his truck and some other small things, and quickly, it was 4pm. At least, we got the prop valve installed (ever tried to match metric brake fittings to NPT by adapters ?). Good thing
we didn't do this the day before our run to Tip Top Mine.
Finally, we managed to get the shafts out, and the backing plates and drums removed. So now, the cruiser is on jackstands, everything is cleaned up and prepared; we'll put the differential together tomorrow. Nice thing is, Michael and I enjoy doing this together.....
Yes, I am doing some wrenching, too ;p
