I went wheeling yesterday with the Copper State Cruisers in Arizona. LandcruiserPhil took me out in his sweet 80. Btw his sway bar disconnect setup works great for added flex and a very smooth trail ride.
Overall I was amazed of the trails and scenery. Weather was amazing. We went with the club on a run in a canyon in the morning. There was 9 80's and 1 4runner. Then we went solo up ORD mountain which climbed from 2k ft. To 7k ft! There was snow on the top! Crazy.
I have been traveling to AZ to visit family every couple yrs, and this trip might push me to finally make the move in the nearish future. Sooooo much to explore and all within a very short distance. Flexing the wheels while looking off a shear cliff would take some getting used too. Def. Pucker factor there.

glad to hear you liked it

I was blown away when I moved from CT to AZ (22 years ago) and since my job took me away again 7 years later, I now try to spend as much time in AZ as possible

nice pics Scott. We visited some friends, 5 years ago now, landed in Phoenix, hung out in Tucson where they lived for a few days, then went north up through Sedona (amazing) and Flagstaff on the way to the GC park and camped out there for a few days. Epic. Wish I had the cruiser! You should post the pics somewhere with a link so we can see some larger sized captures of your trip.

Yeah the trip was SICK! No rust free trophy's. All the cruisers in the group where totally rust free!!. Crazy to see the undercarraige so perfect on an 80. Landcruiserphil's looks like it's off the showroom floor.

I have been to AZ quite a few times but never wheeling. It might have pushed me over the edge in my decision where I will be in the future. My lady and I have been there twice together and she loves it. My son seemed to love it as well. We have already started to pre-pre-plan moving. She will be done with nursing school in approx. 15months. I would loose my contruction business and that is the one thing that we have to think more about. It's always about the $$, right. Well sorry for the ramble. Just got home a few hrs. ago.

Josh (VTrocker) Sounds like you had a sweet trip out there as well. I agree Sedona is amazing. I stayed there on a previous trip. Grand Canyon is sweet too. I would like to see the skywalk thing they have on the south rim now. Looks very cool. I do have photobucket. Is there a way I can add a link to my photo album there?? The pics above are terrible quality. I uploaded them from my phone. Not sure if that's why they are so blury. I usually upload to photobucket then copy and paste the link. I'll add some more pics here from photobucket.

Is this the base for your new project 80?? There sure wasn't a shortage of rust free Yota's out there.
I brought a rust free 80 home from San Francisco, paint and interior has gone to ****! But all the bolts come out real nice!
