Thanks for the insite guys. As for the maint on the truck, it has been serviced every 3000k mi at the "stealership" and it has a new battery and starter. The brakes have life and I do have a fix-it fund outside of the $500. (I own Volkswagens...) I like the idea of buying sliders instead of building them because I would like them done this year.

I will do a custom rear bumper and probably an ARB front bumper eventually.

The type of wheeling I do is trail. I live in OR, so it's usually a little muddy, but we have our share of rocks too. Usually it's the trees that get you. Our trails are a little narrow...

Rubber!!!

assuming all maint. is done... do the tires... sliders are no good if ya can't tackle to hill to even warrant the use of sliders!! If your gonna make a bumper, you can build some sliders...plenty of plans already out there... just copy one.... then again, I assume that anyone buying such a used car would make sure the basics are done before all else...fxxxm it... these things run when completely abused... put on some rubbers!! The look will attract you more to it, as well as a much increased capability...
