As I'm planning my build, I'm currently thinking of using an Ironman 4x4 bumper. I like that it's a full replacement, it maintains crumple zones, comes with what seem to be nice fog lights, etc. It also seems to be the only bumper that is officially Toyota Safety Sense compliant.

What's been your experience with the bumper, if you run one?

Thanks, and I'd love to see photos with your comments. There's a dearth of good photos of this bumper on the internet.

Also subscribed. I really want Dissent stuff but on the opposite end of the country, unrealistic to send the rig out there as it's become my DD. Hadn't taken a hard look at these, but they're decent looking enough. Travel frequently in the NC mtns and the numbers of dead deer by the roadside in late fall/early winter (and spring, uh, and summer too) dictate something be done sooner rather than later.

Couldn't find weight on their website, would be nice to know.

Hi folks! I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about the Ironman 4x4 bumpers. We have specific versions of our bumpers for the corresponding model years and the refreshes.

Just a few things of note:

We are a family-owned Australian brand that has been around since 1958 with our roots in suspension. We make all of our own products in our own factories which gives us better quality control and cost savings to the end customer.

All of our bumpers are fully crash safety tested both full frontal and side, as well as SRS Airbag Compliant. We include fog lights, LED indicators and parking lights, full wiring harness with Toyota 900 series switch, under guards, winch tray, and all hardware needed for a proper install.

We engineer our bumpers in a two-part design to put the winch in the most optimal position which is down low, inline, right on the chassis. We grab the frame from all sides including a draw bolt through for maximum purchase. This puts the winch the ideal placement for safe, effective recovery, especially in hard, off-axis pulls. Then we simply hang the bumper shell over the winch tray and winch for protection. This keeps the bumper lightweight and strong.

The bumpers have built-in crumple zones, Hi-Lift jack points, great winch access and visibility, holes for auxiliary lighting and tabs for antennas/dune flags.

Our bumpers are fully Toyota Saftey Sense compliant, and if equipped, work with the parking sensors, active cruise control/radar, headlight washers, and front cameras.

You can find more information HERE.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need any additional information, happy to help! :) infous@ironman4x4.com or 971-264-9016. Also if you are ever in Oregon our North America HQ is located in Sherwood, OR. Please pop in and say hi! We have a showroom/ company store and am happy to pull any product for your inspection.

Hope this helps! Thanks!

-Chris

Are there any better photos out there? Would like a side profile shot to compare to the ARB and TJM. Also close-ups on how the fit is below the headlights. Does the factory plastic have to be cut?

@CMiller the "more information" link is a circular loop back this thread.

Crazy... I was just looking at these. Very interested! Any group buys or discounts that anyone knows of? I’m looking for my own Christmas present kind of thing lol. Thanks!
The deal we are running at the moment is the free set of our lights with the bumper. Also FREE shipping to the lower 48 states and no sales tax!

Sorry, fixed the link. I'll see if I can dig up some more images of it for you and post them up.

This is the best side profile photo I’ve found. I cropped it closer to the truck, because the original was shot from far away.

I got one from Metal tech few years back. I have modified the skids that came with bumper to 3/16" plate. other than that bumper is holding up good. I replaced the fog lights with stedi. More pics are in my build thread in my signature.

Stedi LEDs our of Australia are top notch.
Been extremely happy with their driving lights the last several years. Even survived a direct deer strike. Quality stuff at reasonable prices.

We now have a direct bolt-in LED fog light replacement for all of our bumpers. Part # BBPART031. It's a complete replacement light fixture, not a bulb swap. Purpose designed reflector and dual LED's providing a nice crisp light quality that is also E-mark compliant.

The one thing that I really do like about the old halogen style fog lights included with our bumpers is that they run warm, keeping ice and snow build-up to a minimum. LED's aren't too great at this.

Let me know if you all have any questions. Happy to help! infous@ironman4x4.com or 971-264-9016

Anyone know the comparisons of the Ironman vs Arb full Bullbar for 2016+ in terms of weight, clearance and how far they stick out? I’m also looking to to get an Ironman
