I was putting in a new radio tonight, and I looked up behind the clock and saw a small computer fan. Turns on with the key. All I could think of was to remove heat from the radio area. Seems kinda strange though. The radio doesn't get that hot. The amp behind the glove box does all the work. Anyone else seen that little guy up there?

It's there to cool the radio.

Your way more hardcore than I if your getting leaves up in there. I was quite surprised when I saw it. I take apart a lot of cars and never seen that. I've seen a few radios with fans on/in them, but never just near them. I was also very surprised that Toyota provided the standard toyota plug in addition to the "premium" amplified harness. Never seen that before either. Usually you have to run wires and do an amp bypass, but Toyota made it too easy on this one. Just had to unplug the factory amp connectors. My Alpine did not like it plugged in.
