I am trying to get values on a 2012 LC with 160k miles. KBB nor NADA have one in their options. Is there such an animal as a 2012 Land Cruiser ??

I do realize that I am not worthy of being in the presence of you 200ers but I would like to be when I grow up.

Just another tid bit I have now learned on Mud. Thanks

It really is sort of odd... What other auto makers have done that??

My '13 Land Cruiser was built in February, 2012, according to the door sticker.

Its because of the earthquake/tsunami that occurred in Japan in March 2011.

There is no 1983 Corvette!

I guess it might help when purchasing used...since a 2012 build sounds like it's a year older...

It will definitely help when selling used ... my 2013 LC is only 3 years old, right? Actually, it's more than 4 years old.

No 2012 only in the US. Other markets got a 2012, produced on the same dates as the US versions .
For example in the Middle East the 2012 LC ran from 1.2012 to 8.2012 then the switch to 13 happened before mid 8.12. For the US they didn't bother as it went on sale later than usual which is why the US skipped MY2012.

C= 2012
D= 2013

I bought new in June 2011. It was virtually impossible to find a Land Cruiser and I had to drive quite far to get one.

One of my 11s was built in Nov 2011, which I believe that would mean, that it likely didn't make it to the US dealer's lot for sale till early 2012.

WOW. Amazing how FEW are around! No wonder it's taken Slee, CBI and others so long to market a bumper, etc. We all know about the low numbers, but when you see them in a table like that, it's really pretty striking.

Yes, and it also highlights why we don't see many 2012 manufacture dates based on 2011 sales. Sales are up in recent year and if gas prices stay comfy the 200 will stay relatively strong.

If they were building Land Cruisers in November 2011 then the missing 2012 had nothing to do with the Japanese Tsunami on March 11, 2011.

At such low sales volumes - perhaps they just didn't feel like updating and printing all the new brochures, manuals and other collateral material! ;)

It was most likely because Toyota planned a refresh for early 2013, so they just skipped the 2012 model year.

Nissan did that recently with the Armada.
