Whats normal RPM at +/-80 mph? (1 Viewer)

Just curious if 2400-2500 RPM is normal at about 80 mph for a 2005 cruiser? Sometimes cars are flying by at 85+ mph and I feel if I push it to 85 or more while cruising on hwy will shorten the engine life...
