What's leaking here: Output shaft seal? (1 Viewer)

This is some pretty old and long time seepage/spray pattern under my old Cruiser. I'm thinking maybe it's the output shaft seal, but wanted to check with the brain trust. Thanks.

hard to tell but it sure looks like grease flung off the ujoint
generally the output flange would have drips off it if it was leaking

I second the thought of grease coming off the u-joint. I have the same spray pattern, as does my buddies 40, and ours are definitely from the u-joint.

Yep. And normal (if you kept them greased as you should)
