Well for those that helped me solve the 4WD emblem relocation issue here we go, ran a carfax and the '96 cruiser I am looking at was in an accident in '97 says
"Involved right front impact
The vehicle overturned
Severe damage reported"

this info was not disclosed on the ebay write-up, I won the bid at 9100,

here is the link

the question on the table, What Is It Worth, you can see in one of the pic it does have lockers............I talked to the owner about maintanence and it sounded like he took it in for oil and such but didn't have the 90 or 120 done, so assume minimal records and upkeep.......I feel that since this info on the wrech wasn't on the table I might have room to negotiate on the price if it were to look ok.......not sure if I want to make the drive, its in Wichita and I am in Omaha, about 5 hrs...........don't need another cruiser just saw this one this weekend and it looked like a good deal, guess it might have been a liitle too good, thanks for the help guys

I guess my gut is saying its not worth the hassle????

a rollover? run forrest run.

Yikes!!
I would make the seller a lower offer based on the info that was not divulged.
This may seem unethical to some, but that is a serious omission. Who knows, maybe the other party will be receptive.

yeah thats what I am slowly coming around to........ah the struggle of trying to find something that hasn't been run into a wall or off a cliff............

I say seeing as the listing says as is and there is the link for the history you are going to get bad feedback. Now seeing as you have none, well I could live with the feedback and just list the reason would be tougher on the seller. I haven't dealt with a roller over before between 97's and now how many owners? I have seen "roll overs" that were ditched on a slope "uphill side"

This fellow is the second owner, guess I just don't understand why you wouldn't be honest, I'm going to check to body panels etc, it would have just been 10 wasted hours......not really an ebayer and for good reason, think I'll stick to closer vehicles.............I was just so pumped when I won that am bitter now at finding all this info out.........makes me wonder about the car care

I've got a 96 that i'm looking to get rid of. Getting ready to put it on the sale side of the forum. I can send you some pictures if your interested. I have taken great care of it ,and am looking for someone else to do the same. It has a little paint damage but i can get it ready within a week or two for a great looking ride.
let me know.
:) :) :)

Just to play the devil's advocate... You are responsible to do the research BEFORE you bid. If he is the second owner he might not know about the damage. The mantainance is poor and if he hasn't kept up on that I would be warry. Legally, you bought it, you are bound to purchase it. That being said I would not go through with the purchase as the vehicle has not been taken care of. Let him go after you. He will probubally call you a couple of bad names and give you negative feeedback but that will be fine compared to the repairs you will have to go through to get it in great running shape. Next time do your homework first and try not to make impulse decisions.

God
Agree, was a impulse move, I should probably stay off ebay all together and I am hoping to move back home (Alaska) in the next couple months and was just too eager at the chance to do it with two cruisers, I will give the owner a call tonight, there was someone else who bid 100 buck lower so we will see,

Cool
Apprciate the offer, am looking for something stock in which I can add my own flavor,

anyway this thread needs to end, thanks for the input
