Thanks everyone for all the input, I will probably hang on to it this winter and see where that takes me...

If nothing else, it'll be fun to push some snow around!

I'll snap some more pics of the attachment tomorrow. I'll let you guys know if it becomes available and let me know what you think of the attachments when I post them.

I'd start at $650. Western plows are well built, well designed plows. They are much better quality than something like a Meyers. When I was plowing I was at the local supply house and the old parts guy said that he could tell me all the part numbers for the pumps, valves, and cylinders for Meyers and Fishers, but they almost never replaced anything but old worn out electric motors on the Westerns. My dad runs two of them on his plows and they are about like a Toyota in reliability.

It's hard to find a good operational plow for under $1000 in the fall. I'd wait till next fall and ask a higher price.

x one more for the 3 speed. They really are a lot better for plowing. You don't need the lower first gear and the straight front to back shifting is the s***. And they are damn near free to replace (although a little harder to find) if you do break one.

Yesterday, I sold a 6 1/2' meyer power angle plow for $2400. It sold with a 93 ford ranger that was worth about $500.

That means that I got about $1900 back, on a plow that I paid $2400 for about five years ago. Plus, the guy I sold it to will plow my driveway for the rest of the winter. (all 800 feet of it)

My wife wants a full sized plow truck, that she can pull a horse trailer with.
Good luck

I run a Meyer 6.5' that was designed to fit a 40.
I looked for a long time ... I'd say you could get $800 this year and $higher next November if you hold on.
The Hydro unit is worth $500 IMO.
Angled plows are more desirable too.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I have now decided for sure to keep it at least till next Fall. We'll see what kind of trouble I can get into with it for the rest of the winter here!

Here are a couple of pictures of how it's attached. Looks like some custom brackets were made at some point.

FWIW there is a guy on E Bay selling a frame exactly like that for $100. I have a Western Mk III pump in excellent condition for $200. I just want to get rid of it.

Sorry mods, I know this is not for sale section, but someone could put together a plow for cheap.
