My brother texted me and asked if I wanted his '94 80 for parts, that he blew the motor today. I have no other info. No lockers, carpet trashed, seats just recovered, body in OK shape, no rust, no major dents (that I remember) but lots of bumps. Would any axle parts from a non-locked axle fit my locker axles?

Just want to do right by him.....

I might be in for a front seat or two if they're gray. Might. Maybe the dash panel and a few switches.

Sorry I can't help on your other questions, Jay. There are many here are wiser.

They are tan/brown. If I take it, I would use at least the seat foam - my cloths seats are tear free, but the foam is degraded. He had all new foam. I think I am will try to talk him into a motor swap.....

That would be a good option for him otherwise value sounds like 500 as is. Probably not what he wants to hear but doesn't have any extra goodies or stock ones to help him out much. And a parts rig without many useable parts is no gift laying around. I sold my complete 1fz for 400 buck and guy drove down from va and installed it the following weekend. He put another 60k miles on it before selling it 2 yrs later in good running shape still. There are some deals out there If you keep your eyes out for them. Or there is this guy in chesne .......

If you have the space and can afford it, then absolutely, grab it!

There is a market for the trans and T-case, axles also have value. All front drive engine parts have value as does frame and interior and exterior parts. 3rd row has no value, 2nd row so so, front foam has value. Dash pieces and controls have value. Glass as well body depends on condition

If the body is not full of little dents and would not require 10 gals of filler to get straight it may have value as a swap candidate. There is a growing market for swapped 80s as a DD. Go figure, an entry level Suburban or Tahoe is around $50K

Don't forget the cup holders :D

And on a serious note. Tan sun visors that don't sag will bring 100 too

Or perhaps some diesel swap freak o' nature may want it for the next project too ;)

I should reassess my evaluation. But lots depends on if you have the room and or desire to part it or what exactly your plans were. A brand new set of tires could double that 500 mark as well.

@jfz80 can use a gas tank that doesn't have a hole.

Tis true :)

But it'll have a hole in it within a week of install. Must find source first

I can use the complete truck if it has a title
