I'm about to start building my Sankey Trailer, and I am curious as to what people have done on the inside... Custom kitchens, drawers, propane, batteries, water tanks, water pumps, etc!!

You can also include camp setups!! I'd like to see your campsite kitchen, etc too!

Please post some pics, and details on what is all in there!!

I have a Bass Pro Shop opening next week, and would love to grab some stuff at the Grand Opening sale!!

Thanks again,

My build will be starting in a couple of weeks!!

Just firewood, a Cabellas camp kitchen, and a big 'ol Stihl chainsaw. Going up to Mendocino for my boys spring break. Wish I was taking the 40 but I haven't figured out roof racks for the soft top and kayaks yet.
The Yakima racks mount pretty well on the trailer rails.

no really...its just mainly for cargo. all my stuff is in bins etc, and i have some folding tables. i like to have the trailer mainly for hauling camp stuff...and not so much have camp built around it. i would like to add a small battery box and propane tank mount up front though...and maybe a water cell above the axle mounted under the belly. ive got gutters mounted on the lid should i need to mount my thule bars...but as it sits now, its just extra cargo space on wheels.

i have seen some excellent builds for pull out drawers, tabletops and sinks etc...way cool. but it takes up alot of room, and isnt really reversible. its nice to have an open trailer for dump runs etc. check out expeditionportal.com's trailer section...lotsa eye candy there too!

SNOW, 5+ inches of the rusticatin stuff.

Trailer

This is my M416 trailer. I had the tongue and the lunette lengthened. That made the trailer much easier to back up.

There is a rack where I have a Overcamp RTT and a basket designed to pit three Action Packers. There is alos a large Tuff box where I have secure storage and a battery box on the bed with two Gp 29 deep cycle batteries.

Best of luck with your trailer.

hey mike,

how did you extend the tongue? did you redo the A frame part or just put in a longer lunette ring? i want to extend mine...but want to replace the whole front end. also...what did you use for your propane mount? was it just a regular RV 20# mount?nice setup btw!

Trailer

The propane mount was a regular 20lb mount cut down to fit the 10lb tank. I had the the frame lengthened 18" and the removed the lunette rind and 16" added to that as well. I plan on putting a box on the tongue to hold some light stuff.
