What's in YOUR diffs? (1 Viewer)

I can't seem to find a straight 90 weight gear oil to change differential fluid. Is there a multi-visc. fluid that you guys like (those of you in the south that skip over references to <0 degrees F). I was looking for Mobil 1, but no luck. Also, does the bottle have to say "hypoid"?

Also... when I was trying to track down a grrrr noise, I changed the front diff fluid to M1 75w-90 syn gear lube (about 2K ago). Close enough? That's the correct wt. for the t-case, right.?

You are good to go with M1 75W-90 in the diffs and t-case.

I run valvoline durablend 75-140 in the diffs and 80-90 in the t-case, both with a mix of the slick50 gear oil.

75w-90 and 80w-90 are fine to run in the diffs and T-Case. Just make sure they are GL-5 rated.

I've used Redline's MT-90 in my transfer case for the last couple of years - it's a 75W90 GL-4 gear oil and I would recommend it. It's made for manual gear boxes - but came highly reccomended on this board by the oil gurus -

BTW - I use Amsoil synthetic gear lube (80W-90) in the diffs ...
