I drive my 80 quite often, say 500-600 miles a month. It’s think it’s the perfect vehicle other than mpg. Everyone’s always saying how slow their 80s are which I don’t really agree with. They’re obviously not fast but how fast are y’all trying to go?? I’ve desired passing power and maybe some more grunt on steep hills but for the most part I can accelerate/cruise just as i need without really wringing it out. I split the rest of my driving time between a Subaru Outback 3.6 and some seasonal summer cars, all of which are faster than the 80 but the performance of the 1fz feels just right for the platform. I’m also a speed limit guy maybe straying +/-5mph. Im on 33s, a 2.5in lift and stock gearing. But I would LOVE to LS swap eventually.

I just get the other cruiser. Only have land cruisers in the stable.
Before we had the minivan, I had a 2011 535i manual (that my wife hated driving) and she had a Subaru Forrester in rough condition. We sold both of those cars and were really happy to get the minivan. It has served us extremely well on road trips with our 6 month old son and large dog. I have no stigma at all against minivans, and was really relieved that my wife didn't either. Having the van has allowed me to add drawers, a fridge and all sorts of fun stuff to my 80 that would have been a lot harder to do if we still needed the 80 to be the "big" vehicle. It has also kept a lot of road trip mileage off the 80.

My motorcycle experience is non existent relative to those breeds. The craftsman in the back is more my speed

Sequoia is my daily driver. 80 is the fun weekend/whenever I feel like driving it. You can tell the difference. 80 is smoother and more ergonomic than the Sequoia is. Sequoia is like an out of shape 80, but it's faster. If that makes sense.
