Just to keep some life in the dead of winter...
Post up what you are doing to your cruiser over the winter. Heck, even what you want to do to your Cruiser

I will start.
The HZJ-73 we bought last fall needs a ton of attention. I knew it did, but just having to ante up now. It got pushed aside waiting on a pile of parts from Japan, but basically a major baseline is going on.
On the hoist is Jessica's 200. It needs another round of Fluid Film; fixing a terrible squeak from the bp51 shocks; blast-prime-powdercoat the bumpers (crappy factory job); putting the rear springs on from @Supra88 FINALLY!

I’m contemplating whether to tackle installing the new OEM rear shocks I have in my 200. I did that job on both my 80 and my 100, but that was before I got old. I’ll go out and look at that dang top nut when the weather warms a bit and see how brave I’m feeling.

Those top nuts are a pain for sure. They should have made them drop out on a bracket like the 80. If the nuts aren't too tight, it isn't terrible

Not much here. I finally got caught up with hinge production and have parts ready to go. It’s been a long process. I’m also slowly working on prototyping the rear ambi-door hinges. I have a couple of trucks semi local to me to try them on for fit.

Picked up a GM nv4500 for my 40 build, so now I have a 78 LC 4 speed available.

Planning on replacing the leather front seat upholstery in the 100 I recently bought. Lots of options and lots of critical reviews of those options. Want to replace with leather and not just slip covers going over the originals.
Also going to add a couple blazing lights to the front bumper. Not sure what I'll be getting but back when I had the rally cars I used aircraft landing lights made by GE., ran two in front and one in back for backup and out of a mistake.

I did both of my front lower covers last year. Hardest part was pulling seats themselves out of the truck. I went with some cheap Chinese knockers from eBay. My 100 is rusty though, so kind of lipstick on a pig situation. So far they are great, holding up well and look good for $90 for both.

The Tundra is filling the current Land Cruiser void. Fox suspension with an RAS kit in the rear and 315’s are getting the job done. I need to replace the steering rack bushings but am putting that off until I get a lift.

Which Fox shocks are you using? I have the 2.0 Performance Remotes for that series Tundra under the rear of my 100, with 2.0 Performance fronts. Our 16 T4R has the 2.0 coil overs up front and the 2.0 Performance rear, massive ride upgrade for both.

I swapped in the factory TRD Pro 2.5 Fox setup and am quite pleased with it, super plush. I had a 2.5 Fox Factory setup in the GX470 and after having that it is hard to go back to anything less!

Not a whole lot here - 60 is hibernating. Chased exhaust leaks on the 80 which turned into a full refresh from head to 2nd cat.

LMK if anyone's interested in the old manifolds (1FZ).

That's the LAST time I do exhaust work 🤣

I put a set of the L Seat covers on my sister's 80 a few years ago. They seemed pretty fragile putting them on, but they have held up pretty well. I suspect it is a bit of "get what you pay for" in leather. There surely are heavier duty choices, but they weren't too bad.

New exhaust on your old 80, and replaced a u-joint. Also troubleshooting slow aux fuel tank transfer.

Also collecting parts and preparing the garage for a paint job on the LS80. Flare delete, Quad headlights, new wheels, powder coated bumpers and sliders, etc...

Nice. The transfer from the aux tank to the main tank used to take around 20 minutes or so. I never timed it exactly. I just waited til I was below a quarter tank on the expressway and hit the button. That would take it back just about to full. Of course, in 20 minutes, I probably burned a quarter tank of gas  .

That was using the Holley Blue fuel pump. The first pump I bough used and it lasted a couple years. I put a new on on after that but rarely used the setup. The tank is from a Geo Tracker 4 door. Fits in there just about perfect. I pretty much copied the thread from @LandCruiserPhil from some years back.

I got my sandblasting pile back yesterday. I prepped up parts and coated them last night.

Thanks, Pat.

The pump was shot when I bought the truck, didn't work at all. I replaced the failed Holley Blue pump with a similar Holley Sniper EFI pump. The transfer takes to about an hour from what I've seen. I'm not sure if my pump's bad, or if there's some other restriction in the system.

Is there a sock or in-tank filter by chance? Is there a fuel level sending unit still in the tank?

Thanks
-Rob

I also painted the grille gloss black last night. It was pretty faded anyway. Going on the truck today
