Pro Comp Extreme AT's

I just got a new set of Bridgestone Duelers via Toyota's recall and I,m thinking of trading them plus $425 for 4 x33x12.5x17 Pro Comp AT's or another $50 for Extreme AT's. I will be adding an OME lift and modifying the body mounts. Anyone got an opinion on these tires? One more question, where can I get a decent horn?

I had Goodyear MTR 285/70/17's on my FJ before I traded it in...put about 3000 miles and barely any sign of wear. They were louder than stock on the road, but not real bad at all. Much less hum than the toyo MT's I had on my H2. I had no rubbing at all with the MTR's on the FJ (about 1/2" clearance at the front well). Very aggressive look, too. I looked at the toyos, coopers, bridgestones, and Goodyears before going with the MTR's.
I've got them for sale in the "Tires" section if you're interested.

Prior to the 3" OME lift, during the winter I ran 16" rims. I used studded 255/85/16 Copper ST tires. These tires are the tallest you can fit with out a lift on a stock FJ. They measure out to be 33.5" tall. Due to the narrow section width (10.5") they do not rub against the body mount. With my stock 17" rims I run Wildcoutry SVT 33X12.50X17 mud tires during the summer. The coopers are a fantastic winter snow/ice tire and fairly good in the mud as well. The Wildcountrys have not been tested yet. Still too much snow up here in the central interior of British Columbia.

285 BFG ATs on the OEM 17s. I have been very pleased with them and they do much better in mud than I would have thought.

The gameplan is to get some 16 steelies and throw some MTs on there in the future and switch them out as needed. For that I am leaning towards the Hankooks.

I am also running the Bridgestone Revo's (285/70/17) and have been very happy with their performance in snow and light to medium mud. If I were to get into some serious mud I would opt for a true mudder, but the Revo's have worked fine so far.
