hey guys. I lost a previous offer on a 97 earlier this week but now looking at 40th with 69K miles for 18900. wanted to know what are the added features of a 40th anniversary LC and a good price

thanks

Chadi

nothing too special, except for "limited" badging, special seats and the like --

-- one big negative is the "automatic" HVAC system -- akin to something lifted out of a '92 cadillac --

2-tone leather. If it doesn't have this, it's prolly just extra badging and not a 40th.
Auto climate control. I like how mine works, but if you don't like how it works, there's a switch in the back that allows for non-auto (standard) controls.
A bunch of 40th stickers and badges everywhere.

I think that's all there is...

can't say I like the 2 color leather seats myself, but to each his own of course...

Thanks guys

There you go again.....a generalization!

God help us...here we go again...

I happen to like the automatic controler. One just needs to know how it works, to make it work right. It's not too hard...push button to "Auto"...select desired temperature...adjust temperature setting until desired temperature achived...leave the hell alone.... :flipoff2:

Ahh, grasshopper. You have discovered the part most 80s drivers can't handle:

Leave the h... alone.

Are you talking about the "AUTO" switch on the face of the controls? Or some other switch? I leave mine in manual from the front "Auto" button, and lets me control everything and remembers it on the next startup with the exception of the air source button, every time I start the truck it selects "Recirculae" and I have to switch it over to fresh air even in manual, I find this very annoying

40th Includes:

Auto Climate Control
Wheels with painted "D" windows
Two-tone Leather
40th Badges on both front quarter-panels
40th Badge on front console indicating the Cruiser's Anniv. production #
40th embroidered front floor mats (Available new from C-dan or SOR)

This Cruiser was only available in two colors, Antique Sage Pear (often incorrectly referred to as "riverrock", "grey", or "silver") and a dark green color that is not nearly as good looking as Antique Sage Pearl.

Hey, Hey, be nice - we have the 40th "Not nearly as good looking" EMERALD GREEN color. It's very attractive, looks bluish at some angles and dark green at others. The "Auto Climate Control" works like any other Toyota auto ones, no difference.

Regards,

Chuck

No, behind the unit itself -- accessible when you remove it from the dash.

Ok that is kinda what you post sounded like just wanted to be sure, I did not see it when I put in the CDL swithc but I just cracked it apart a few inches left everything hooked up, did that help with the recir/fresh deal? I am going to have to play with that see how I like it

Hey, Chuck, sorry to bash your ugly Cruiser....just kidding. I was out on dark green vehicles before I started Cruiser hunting, then we set sights on a 40th in ASP and finally found it in Colorado Springs, after a 3-month search.

One of our LSLC members has a beautiful Emerald Green 40th... I just can't get over my aversion to dark green vehicles!
