33's to 35's. What percentage of offroad/on-road, what type of wheeling, budget, stock or aftermarket rims?

Well, I live in AZ so my commute to the off road area is pretty far, but the truck is mostly used for gold prospecting.. Some places are pretty tought to get to, lots of sand and big rocks mostly.... I would be happy with 33's but 35's sound so much better.... Would I be trading articulation for tire size if I choose the 35's?

I think 35s would fit fine. You may rub a bit a when the tires are stuffed. The bigger concern would be gearing. You will lose a bunch low end with 35s. I run 33s and it's great down the hwy and around town, but I need to go to 4:11s to get my low gears back for offroading. With 35s, most folks seem to like 4.56s.

Id say 35s would fit pretty good, but i bet an inch of body lift might help out a lot too. I think the SR would let you run a little larger tire without the rubbing.

33"-35's will fit

Do you have a 60 or 62?

-----
60 = 3.7 gearing in the diffs
62 = 4.11 gearind in the diffs

Larger the tire means less get up and go... but... better rubber overdrive.

33s with 4.11 gears puts you back at basically stock for a 60.

I guess this is just some info...

My thought...
I DD my 60 (with 3.7 diff gears) with 33x12.5s and a OME (+1shackle). Works well for me on the highway and around town. Up hills and grades it is not so great but not all that bad. I dont climb a lot of grades.

If you have a 62 I would run 34x10.5s. Gives you a little rubber overdrive but doesnt push the tire to diff gear ratio to hard. It also gives you more clearance with the diff and body from rocks.

And, IMHO, 35s might be pushing it a little in the gear department and you begin to enter the "breaking stuff" end of the spectrum.

Just my $0.2... Dont know if this really helps

I'd go with 35's, but like everyone else said, regearing would be best. If you plan on going any higher as far as lift or tires, go for 4.88's. Also if you have some extra money....throw a locker in the rear as well.
