Need help in determining a part number. The vapor recovery valve is squealing every morning when I start my truck and also threw a CEL last week. I've entered the part number molded into the valve body into three different online oem parts sites with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

I Googled 90910-1226, all I could see from your pic, 2nd result down was OEM Toyota VSV at Amazon, 90910-12264. Googled again the full # and it shows up in all the regular Toyota parts sites.

Trunk Monkey to the rescue! Thanks again.

90910-12264.
If the part shown is indeed 90910-12264, then it might be the wrong part for the LC.... which could explain the squealing. Correct part number 'might' be
25860-50100 or 25860-50150 but can't really tell since the OP doesn't list the year LC/LX in his signature.

2005 LC. 153k miles. Had the truck since Oct 2012. I looked at the valve again and it has 90910-12261 molded into it.

Noticed an "air pump" sound (Darth Vader breathing fast) only when going up a mountain pass a few times. The squealing started a few months ago when the truck was started after sitting for many hours here in Flatland Dallas. I've had it throw a code 0455 about 6 months ago and only concluded it was a lose fuel filler cap. The filler cap was new, so maybe a stiff o-ring?

Last week it threw code 0447. I suspect the VRV, since it's squealing like a pig. Cleared the code and has been good for last 800 miles.

BTW, I've visually checked all the connections and lines all the way from the charcoal cannister in the rear all the way up to the engine. Nothing was loose or looked like it was replaced or damaged. I haven't done the diagnostic check with a vacuum gauge as spelled out in the FSM.

I figure I could replace the $50 VSV since it is easy to access. Beyond that, I will do the diagnostic per the FSM before replacing more parts.

The real question is, what’s the current part number. Can’t find 12261 anywhere

I googled “90910-12261 toyota” and there are lots of options.

I did the same, but turned up nothing but photos from this post and other part numbers that didn’t match once I clicked on them

Neither ourisman nor amayama recognize it as a valid part.

Hmm - Toyota Parts Deal shows this is the correct part number for a 2003. You may put your VIN into Partsouq.com and look there.

It may work, just haven’t found anything that matches the exact number. Nothing really looks the same either, so thought maybe there’s a new part number out there that someone knows of.

There’s a couple of others that say they fit, which makes it even more confusing as to which is the correct.

It's 25860-50150.

I'll bet 90910-12261 is the part number for the gray part, which you can't get by itself, and the part @hoser pointed out is the whole contraption.

Thanks hoser! Just got off the phone with my local dealership, and was coming here to post this. Also, in their system it shows as discontinued so there’s a chance this part number may change again. Luckily, these are still widely available under this part number at the moment.

$58 shipped from Japan too!

They also have aftermarket ones on Rock Auto for the valve alone, if you/anyone want to save a few bucks. It's not really a mission critical part so.....

Anyone know the part number for the clip that attaches to the canister purge valve? I removed the black electrical tape, and may have found why I keep throwing codes.

New aftermarket valve is ordered, just need the other connector end

Can we talk about how clean that first pic is?!?!?! How is that possible?

They ended up canceling my second order, citing out of stock. So I just went to the local salvage yard and pulled one off a Sequoia. Seems to have fixed the issue.
