What made you choose a LC, what else did you consider

Pffft! Sequoia.... Odyssey, they're no good

No need to remove anything you guys are looking at the wrong land cruiser... The perfect kid hauler, grocery getter and camper exists and is a land cruiser

If you're planning on an army of kids, no worries! Get the troopy, fits 8 in the rear and all their crap goes in the middle or under the seats.
well if you ask the wife she will say she was a Mormon in another life and wants 8 kids

2 is too many for me and we compromised on 3

Trust me I don't want a sequoia or oddy. I want 200. I even have a 21 cubic feet Thule roof top box I can put on 200

My parents visit a lot and so do In laws so third row is critical and luggage space is critical

Going to airport with 7 people and having to get luggage out of roof box is no fun :(

Essentially I need a Japanese escalade esv/suburban

MB is coming 4 cylinder turbo (gas) minivan. Starting at 32k

^^
Sadly I have been following it

When we were In Abu Dhabi last month that Benz was our taxi ride

Interior was so so but what else can you get for 30k

Might be better than oddy or sienna , though I don't want my 200 dream crushed so easily...

I keep reading this statement over and over again.

EVERYONE knows the 200 is not an inexpensive vehicle. Everyone.

Totally disagree with you. A colleague has a 4 year old RR they bought used and I have a new LC. She gets s*** ALL the time about how nice it must be to be driving a RR.
No one has ever made a comment to me. She paid 26k. I paid 65k.
Under the radar, I love it.

Talk the wife into the van and you go for the 200. Best fit for both needs / wants

Heh... Here in the homogenized US of A...we ONLY get one LC choice... :(

For me it's about half and half... When I bought my rig new and pulled up to work in it, most peoples first guess was it must have been atleast 38k.....:)

My toyota dealership clerks didn't even know what it was the first time I pulled in. When i do get asked what it is, the remarks are normally "oh, i didn't know they still made those". - most people have no clue and thats great by me.

That exactly describes the Sequoia.

I wish that were true. The Sequoia is comparable to a Tahoe/Yukon -- it's the cargo room behind the 3rd row that makes the difference. It's virtually nonexistent in the Sequoia vs. burb.

I wish they had a Sequoia L that could be a direct competitor to the Suburban.

I just got my 09 LC after almost a year of looking around trying to find a vehicle that did it all. I work construction so I carry a lot of crap, as well I am on the road a lot. I needed something that would not live in the shop, had enough power to pull a 2 horse trailer in the hills, big enough to carry my work stuff, got OK MPG so I did not die every time I went to the pump. I looked at everything, and it came down to a new 4Runner or a used LC. Well the LC won. It was just a little bit bigger than the 4Runner, but had more power, the tow rating that I needed, and was just a little bit more comfortable to drive. After having it for a month I love this thing, and feel I have made the right choice.

I've always had Cruisers, just recently I bought a new RR mainly because I think the rovers are sharp looking. I'm already trying to decide on trading toward a 2016 or a 2014 that a dealer is stuck with.

Having owned Toyotas most of my life, there really wasn't much choice. I do love the fact that the 200 is under the radar. That is until you get in it. My sister has a beautiful RR Sport. Much more handsome vehicle but the reliability just isn't there. The wife and I plan to acquire a 23ft Airstream in the future and the 200 will make a great tow rig.

I pack three kids / car seats in mine and everyone is comfy. Long trips we roll the Siena - straight ballin

Too funny, we roll in the Sienna (SE Premium, I aint no bitch!) 90% of the time, but we load up in the Canyonero when the weather outside is frightful or we are going to hit some family-friendly trails.

I'm reminded of how awesome the minivan is everytime we try loading up 3 kids and gear in the Canyonero!
