What length high lift are you using for the 100’s?
I’m going to pick one up and can’t decide between the 48” or the 60”
Have a 2.5” lift with 33’s

Ken

I have read the 60" is the best for the hundy, but it's a beast to store anywhere.

60 is likely the best...but for ease of use and storage a 48 will work most of the time.

i carry my 48 every day as the stock jack is of no use with the tires and lift....so the lift is on rear bumper in its mount....and an adaptor for my sliders is next to the factory jack in rear sidewall storage. If I had a 60 inch it would stick up way too high to be comfortable driving around like that...plus with all my time in woods it would hang up on every low hanging limb on the trails...and prevent me from being able to load my canoe on without removing. Just too many issues...

if I need one I will borrow someone elses that is a 60 :)

Can I borrow your 48since I don't have a 60?

60" closer to the top the tippier it feels. It's a good idea to practice with High lift in the driveway before you need it on the trail. Keep it well lubed. Never lift both front or both rear tires off the ground together. Use extreme caution when lifting both tires on one side of the truck off the ground. Parking brake and Diff lockers are your friend. Never get your face near the Handle. Don't store it lose in the truck. If you crash it could kill someone.

If you feel the 60 is too long you can always cut a bit of length off it.

Go 60". I had a 48". I once actually had no choice but to use it as a winch to pull me backwards out of a hole. I would have killed for a 60" lol.

I have a 48. It fits much better on the Slee dual swingout rear. I will probably get the 60 for trips because there have been a couple of occasions that I wanted a little more length or leverage.

Here is the 48 on the Slee. You can see how rediculus the 60 would be. I wouldn't be able to get in the garage.

If I had a rear swing out bumper it looks like I go 48"
Since I do not have one yet and it will be awhile until I can get one has anybody mounted one to their stock roof rack?
Seems like it would be an out of the way place to mount the beast.

ya it's all about how it looks on the bumper:rolleyes:

Well if ya can't make it in the garage without ripping it off it is.

Like I tried to say the 48 is fine for most every circumstance. You may need to get a little more creative with it but it works.

Fair enough. You can always put it on after you pull out of the garage. Unless you like to drive around with it on 24/7? In which case I would argue it's for the image. Haha.

Regardless, JonHaris is correct the 48" will be adequete maybe 95 percent of the time. It's that other 5 I always like to be ready for.

+2 practicing in driveway on flat ground before doing it for real in field...

also you will see you need to angle it out towards you before you start jacking....as it gets higher the rail tends to go toward body of truck...some open their door to prevent it from denting and scratching the door if they misjudge the angle needed......also good idea to put something to cushion just in case on top...a pucker to pop out is better than effects of can opener on body panel.

hi lifts are no joke...dangerous if not used right...and even if they are if used in difficult conditions. Be careful. Wear gloves...fingers away from body of jack as much as possible....they will get you as soon as you turn your back.

The 60" bar fits nicely crossways under the 2nd row seats with the jack lift mechanism and base removed. The locked down seats hold it securely in place. You can store the other parts anywhere else in the truck, but strap them down securely.

My 60 lives on the slee mounts on the roof rack. Very secure, out of the way, and works great.
