What kind of leather product would you use to touch up/fix this armrest? (1 Viewer)

Below are some pics of my LX 470 interior. The tip of the driver's side armrest is kind of cracked and worn down and it's by far the worst aspect of my interior. The worn area looks darker than usual since I just did the Lexol cleaner/conditioner treatment up front, but you get the idea.

Structurally, the arm rest is great. It just feels a little scratchy (and looks the part) on the tip.

What should I do -Remove and re-cover? Leather filler product of some kind? Doesn't have to be perfect, I just want some improvement over the current status. Willing to try something, I just need ideas.

Tandy Leather Weld is an adhesive but it works fine as a filler, though it shrinks so you need time and mulitple applications. It's water based so it's easy to work with. Flowable Silicone (Dow, Permatex) is good but not water based and harder to work with. Both accept dye just fine. That's a tough spot to repair because your seams are going to get gunked up.

This. I spent hours and eventually probably a couple hundred dollars trying to “resurrect” the leather on my 80. Leatherique, etc. get a quote to get it re-upholstered, and get the front seats quoted while you’re at it. Anyone who rides in the the front seat will thank you.
