I have a Warn winch that I picked up as part of a trade recently. I don't know much about electric winches since two of my cruisers have/had pto winches. The guy told me it was an 8k lb winch. Is this a popular set up, what kind of mount would it take to install, and how much might it be worth if it where in good working order?

It is a "Bellview" winch. It is the precursor to the 8274. Mounting is similar to the 8274, but they are less popular because they lack some of the features of the 8274 and are worth less, by about half.

It depends on condition and I don't know what condition yours is in. Does it run? A running 8274 in that cosmetic condition might be $400-500, so your Bellview might be $200, but it also looks incomplete. Do you have the cable controls for it? If not, it might be worth less. Put it on Craig's list and you will find out what it is worth.
