Couldn't find it on partsouq, this is on my passenger front door, what's it for?

Changed out all the glass runs yesterday and that's when I was paying more attention to it.

Do I need it for the driver's side? Or should I just remove it from the passenger side?

There is at least one other thread, from a year or so ago that it was discussed and pretty sure it was for guiding the window in while wind was moving the window from driving. Something pretty important so don't remove it or you will have to do a head gasket job and PHH along with full front axle service.

What they said

Yes, it guides the window into place and it keeps the front edge of the window from sucking out at speed when driving down the highway to keep wind noise to a minimum.

Maybe it keeps the windows in place when your Land Cruiser is doing 200 MPH across the desert........
