Whatever you do, do not remove it! That is the brain that helps control the air bags, 4wd system, steering, brakes, stereo, cup holders, etc. Obviously, very important!

That explains why my 98 fell off the road. And I thouight it was playing with the iPod.

Yur right...it DOES look like a cup holder. Don't tell the hundy guys lest they start asking the best way to turn the rig over to use 'em as such...:D
 
For kicks, I looked it up. Crossmember weight 51259–60040. Retails for $250!

Don't worry, I found a cheaper alternative.... $2.50 on craigslist... a dollar a pound. :D
