What are the names of your Rigs?

We need some ideas from everyone that was at URE and for those who have seen pics of our little lady. Eric and I need some help. We need a name for our Cruiser. We've had her for almost a year now and have no idea what to call her. And it doesn't have to be a "Female" name. Any ideas?

Mine is "SORF". Named by my 8yr old nephew right after taking him through a nice big mud pit. It was shortly after buying the rig and my wife was talking to him about a name for it. He wiped some mud off his face and said "Steen's Off Road Fury". I laughed because it's far from that, but "SORF" stuck... and it's growing on me. He lives in Raleigh is now a true 8yr old cruiserhead. We'll be shopping one for him in 8 yrs!

This is SORF.

ps: see my avatar for my 40's handle. That's a pic of it's front bumper.

Interesting. I never knew that was a pic of the front bumper. Cool!

hmm... I can tell this is going to take some time..

Dan: I was wondering about that avacado for some time, now.

Mine is called TIPPY. I believe she may have been named by Mrs. Gundy herself back about 6 or 7 years ago when I had some tall/skinny shoes on her.

Bessie the buck truck, since I payed $1 for her and bessie is a big ugly country sounding name that suits the pig.

I've had two already, neither seems right.
First was 'The Blue Bus' (from a Doors song 'the blue bus, is calling us (rpt) ride the highway west baby, the west is the best'.
Or 'The Short Bus' (for obvious reasons.)
Latest is Bonnie. 'My Bonnie lies over the ocean' (my FJC will eventually end up in Dalmatia). Blue Bonnet. Bonnie Lassie. Bonnie Whitehead.

Sometimes it takes a while. The naming gods will tell you, like somebody said.
One of my motorcycles took five years, then it was perfect (Amber). I still don't have one for the mustang, or the Toyo truck. It will come. My 535 was the day I bought her. Darth. The A/C makes a noise like Darth Vader breathing. My Harley is Darth Pearl. Black Pearl. It was made to go to the Phillipines as a police bike. Pearl of the Quarter from a Steely Dan song.

Speaking of names my avatar is EDGWLKR. It's from my Indian name Luke Edgewalker. But I don't know how to change it. I guess I'm stuck with my legal name. I didn't know it would be my forum moniker when I signed up.

Yeah, naming my mustang was easy. I grew up watching the Blue Angels in CA before they moved to FL. So when I got my Bright Blue Mustang it was fitting to be called Blue Angel. And when I got my puppy it was so fitting for her name to be "Mustang Sally." My F250 diesel crew cab had the name "Big Truck" that just fit.

But our FJ40, I am having a heck of a time figuring out a name. I thought about "Shake, Rattle and Roll." On the trails we Shake, rattle and keep on rolling down the trail. But the hubby thought the Roll was due to the PO rolling it. And I'm not sure this is a 'trail rig name.'

The other woman

Jezabell my wife hates her. I lifted all that was saggin on her and soon I will buy her a new rack:grinpimp: I have not named the FJC yet so hold on.

LOL Yeah, I can see why the wife hates her.. LOL

Thanks cats48, maybe I've got it: Blue Belle. I'll try that for a while.
Roy Rogers sidekick (anyone here old enough to remember RR?) had a J**p named Nelliebelle. I kinda liked that. I wanted something with blue in it as my FJC is Voodoo Blue.

Ram Cat Alley of Seneca?

The name that found my Cruiser is my screen name. Even though it's not technically a Pig, we started calling it Pig when I got it; my wife is of Hispanic descent and I wanted something unusual but a bit silly, and after a beer or two it all came together.

Hence, El Cerdo Guapo: the Handsome Pig.

I remember RR. And Trigger.

Dig-Dug from the old arcade game. Little guy in a space suit digging around in the dirt, making big rocks fall on bad guys. It just seemed appropriate given the "moon buggy" look of the FJ and the red shovel on my roof rack.

Depending on how it;s driving sometimes I call mine..."Damn B#%&@ what the Hell is Wrong with you"
