Howdy, I found this in my door when I had to get my door code from the passenger door lock cylinder. It looks like it belongs on the lever that the lock cylinder slides on to - is that correct? Where can I get another one of these/do I *really* need one? I was hoping to put the door card back on tonight... Thanks.

ahhh, okay. Well, i just threw it into CAD and ordered 20 of them, so if anyone is in need of a new one just let me know I guess.

Yep. This is the render from the top. It's a bit blocky-er than it's supposed to be, but I think it'll do fine.

It's what @georgebj60 says it is, door stop limiter cushion, couple of mine are disintegrated too. Did you find all the pieces to it to make it complete in CAD?

I might be interested in a few if it works out.

just got them in. right is old, left is new. they're stiffer than the originals, but i think they'll work great!

What would you all use to clean your door opening limiter? Mine is pretty dirty and greasy

Nicely done.

Given how they can often squeak when opening the doors, I wonder how difficult it would be to have a shop do up a bunch out of delrin.

I'd have to take another look, but I think the front and rear door checks both use identical bushings.

Thanks, Spook. Yes, I believe both front and rear use the same bushings.

On another note, do you have any tips for removing this pin in the door stop assembly? I don't want to break it, but I need it out in order to install the bushing.

What I would do for that is grind off one end and pop it out, then find a short pin to replace it with that you could secure in place. You might be able to use a short piece of steel rod and then smoosh it a bit with a press to mushroom it out like the original is, to hold it in place.
