What is that 100A fuse on the battery for and why is it not used in US spec?

I was looking at my positive battery terminal for a place to mount my HID relays and stumbled across a missing 100A "main" fuse, which I've researched on mud as something that's "typically not on US spec models".

What is it used for on non US spec?

Just rather curious about it... Looked through the FSM and couldn't find it... I'm sure it's there somewhere.

I found this a few weeks ago as well.

I installed my ballasts behind the blinkers.

Could be for the factory winch, or OEM non USA trucks options.
