What does this 12mm bolt do?

I was being a dummy on my first oil change and realized the first bolt I unscrewed was not the oil drain bolt. I was expecting oil to come gushing out of this thing but nothing happened (found it later on.. lol).

Did I screw something up here? Screwed right back in after I realized nothing was coming.

That's just the center mounting bolt for the front skid plate.

Also its up near the front diff the oil drain is much further back haha. All good don't worry about it.
