What do you guys do to deter theft of items IN the vehicle - like a sun-shade?

Who makes drawers for the 100 that require you to fold down the seats, but not remove them? Other than pure custom drawers, all the 100-specific drawers I've seen leave the 2nd row intact and fully functional (not that I've been paying particular attention lately).

My error. You're right. I like the look of the outback set from slee

Quick & cheap idea: Put your 3rd row up like it is ready for passengers but lean the seat back all of the way. That leaves a bit of room between the seat and the hatch that you can't see and it doesn't look like you are hiding anything. When my 80 was broken into, that is the only thing that saved me from loosing my tools and trail gear.

Very cool! If i had the seats in there.. I'd definitely do this. I can imagine it being easy access too...

The 2nd row sandwitch works pretty well too.

I wonder what other easy things there are... what just screams worthless? Put my recovery gear in a garbage bag? : )

I still got my seats :flipoff2: <-- what? they censor the icons?

Speaking of seats... I hear that they themselves are a high value target. Guaranteed cash even at the junk yard.

But the scumbags running around where I am wouldn't know that. And they are surprisingly heavy and awkward... (the seats)

The spirit of schottz and L shocks protect me from everything....dark tint is not Toyota original equipment, Schottzz would not approve...

^ and L shocks are?

I have dark tint. That anti break stuff scares me. Most thieves will just do the 1 second Slim Jim. That is unless you think that the LC is immune to such things.

BTW. I bet you are wishing you had L shocks right now. :D

Have you tried four wheeling your rig so you can get some good brush and rock pin-stripping, a couple of minor dents on your quarter panels from rocks and finally leave it all muddy?

Guaranteed no one will bother you!

Walk past a car, confirm $2,500 MacBook Pro through untinted windows. 25 seconds to steal.

Walk past car with dark windows, stop, peak in, wait for eyes to adjust, have to look through each window and car barely see what's back there. Decides to go to the other car with untinted windows. $2,500 MacBook Pro left alone. Not as hot inside for owner. He can dig for gold at the stop light and be comfortable on road trips

Yeah, window tint = broken in car

All 3 cars I had broken into had dark tinted windows. One of them was an 80-Series covered in trail damage and on 35's... I think window tint helps but you still need to keep everything out of sight.

Put that on the back windows with a little drool and you'll be all set...
