What do I need to do to make these fit v.headlights

Well, one headlight has been cracked open, resprayed, and resealed and it's been working OK. Now after a few hundred miles in Mexico over the last weekend, the opposite side headlamp glass was shattered. I am looking for replacements and came across some OEM Euro spec headlamps for the same years. Are they plug and play does anyone know, or will I need to do some rigging? TIA

Howdy! Euro-spec used to mean that the output was a little stronger, and the low beam was more focused, lower on the left for oncoming traffic, and higher on the right for reading road signs. Of course, that won't work in England! I would think it is "plug n play". John

I'm gonna give them a go I think, they're brand new and about $80 less than the best deal I could come across otherwise on my own. Plus, they should look pretty nice I'm thinking.

I would have a hard time explaining that to my wife as a "necessary" repair. How could I word it properly so she would understand?

If they're E-code headlamps, they are superior to US DOT, though the light pattern may attract unwanted attention from local law enforcement. However, I have been putting E-codes for years on my Mercedes vehicles and never had a problem. They will probably use H4 bulbs, which will require a plug change and possibly a harness upgrade if you want full performance. Not a big deal, check out this site for more info:

go hit some wild-life(or hit it with a hammer and tell her you did and spray some V8 juice all over the front). Tell her the grille damage will cause the truck to overheat if you dont fix it immediately. When you replace it with the newer parts, just tell her it was cheaper to buy the 06+ grille/headlight then to replace with the original stuff because the new style is more available and isnt special order from japan.

Aw, c'mon be authentic! Drive around till you find some road kill, hop out of the 100, grab it by its dead tail, and slam it into the grill. No one will doubt you then!
