Being in the way of a trailer is a good point.
I have had a swing out on the last few rigs I’ve had. My tundra will not have one, preferably ever.
On my last truck build I had one and it was a daily driven work truck that I was in and out of constantly. I didn’t mind the swing out until I towed a camper for another couple on a 2,000 mile trip. I couldn’t get in my truck bed..
If I ever did a swing out on another truck it would be a RIGD style that was removable. And I would haul the spare in the bed during normal duties. However I don’t plan on going any bigger than will fit in the stock location on my tundra.
Here’s the last truck with a swing out in the early stages.

I had two friends have Duratrac issues (one a diesel 80 series lost two to sidewalls) and it swayed my opinion on them for years. Then I got a job repairing a log cabin located 10 miles up a GNARLY atv trail built out of blast rock. I ran a stock Jeep TJ up and down that trail all summer, hauling approximately 800 pounds of cement bags every day for 2 weeks. What tire survived this hellish trial? 31x10.50 R15 load range C Duratracs aired down to 15 psi… I told the company that owned the cabin, and supplied the Jeep that the tires would die in the first week, and did my best to be right, but I just couldn’t kill those tires! We did manage to cripple an old 40 series we used to haul logs with though. Head gasket on the 2F went.

That's pretty wild, sounds like an adventure for sure! I've always heard this about duratrac sidewalls being weak as well, but have always had good luck I guess with the sets I've had.
Did the rotors actually clip the cabin???

The logs didn’t start coming apart from the wind!
But seriously, yes, there was some serious pilot error involved. Jet Ranger was totalled (I have some pieces of it on the “wall of shame” in my shop. Nobody was hurt though. It was well over $100,000 in repairs to the cabin. We actually contemplated partial disassembly and flying logs up from the valley, but got creative on site. It was a fun summer. Had some Germans on their “walz” or ”wanderjahre” (which is where the name “journeyman” comes from) that helped out. They wear their traditional dress and spend a month or two at a time with different people around the world working only for food and lodging. It’s a cool tradition!

Drove down to the snake river for some fishing.

What’s going on with your rear wheel/tire? Looks way inside where it should sit… Camera angle? My stock wheels on the ‘19 have tires flush with sheet metal on top of wheel well. Yours looks 2” inside at least?

Looks great! I put mine in the shop tonight so it’s ready for the front coil over replacement in the morning. Both sides are blown, so I can’t go fast offroad as is. I want to give the RT Trails a bit of a test. Im super happy with the two days I’ve had it on dirt so far. Road noise is about 10% more than the crap ATs I had on before.
Lighting? Stock wheels with wider than stock tires. My tires rub the liners so I’m glad they don’t hit the fenders.

Must have just been camera angle or lighting. If you look at the first pic you posted, you can see the rear looks really tucked.
It’s a pano shot so that doesn’t help.
We have been deep in thought with selling it recently. We have a growing family and need one more seat for when we all Load up and go places that requires a truck.
I’ve been really tempted to de console/ center seat swap my pro. I know it’s possible, and I know I can find parts. I just haven’t had time to sit down and figure out what all parts I’m going to need.
I’m in my pro for a great price, I could make money, but couldn’t replace it for the amount I have in it. Also I don’t love the thought of going to a SR5 truck and starting over, time just doesn’t really allow for it anymore. At least with the pro in stock form I’m 100% happy with the suspension/ ride/ drive on 295s. Plus I have the 38 gallon tank. I would love to see it on 37s but it’s very much a useful truck now. I have other toys to play with.
A SR5 truck would require pro paint match pieces, suspension work, aftermarket fuel tank, then if your Doing suspension you might as well do 37s and go down that rabbit hole.
Also in the last two weeks I’ve drove my tundra 10 miles other than the trip to the lake yesterday towing our boat. I don’t “NEED” it. But damn it’s nice to have sitting in the driveway when I want it. My built 200 series will tow anything that I actually need to tow and do it happily.
