Picked the 60 up from Marshall's earlier this week after having an Ironman 2.5" lift put on. New 33s went on this morning.

Wow....KM2's?

About to do some stuff to the GX: Jounce front and rear, secondaries front and 2.5 rear both with remote resi and CDC...and some race truck control arms...woohoo!

Wow....KM2's?
Went with the KO2s. Heard good things between the daily driving quietness and usability on the trails. Having them balanced properly has been an amazing side-effect. No more insane vibration at 50+mph. I was beginning to think one day I'd hit the resonance frequency of the truck and it'd start shedding parts to spite me.

Well, tonight I figured out why the LX was going "squeak squeak squeak" from the front left wheel around ~25mph.
And I also learned an important lesson: service records do not equal a properly serviced truck!

This nut should be at 47 ft·lbf, not finger loose.
Clearly some ham-fisted neanderthal previously worked on this as evidenced by:
• Missing hub flange gasket
• Both lock washer tabs bent outwards
• Screwdriver gouges all over the nut (couldn't be bothered to procure a 54mm socket)
• Hammer marks all over the hub flange (probably trying to get the cone washers off)

Hey, at least my ball joints are in good shape! I was over here pricing out upper control arms and everything.
New bearing kits are on the way from Cruiser Outfitters and I'll tackle this along with timing belt/water pump next week.

You are welcome to use my garage for all of that....with the chances of rain most of next week that could be dicey!

Thanks for the offer! We will be in Florida until Thu or Fri, so I'll keep an eye on the weather next weekend. The bearings won't take long. For the timing belt/water pump I can probably nose the truck into my one car garage.

Same here. Glad I got it fixed before GSMTR. Looked like they used a chisel instead of 54mm.

These seat gears from the passenger seat would explain no front to back movement. Upon testing before reinstalling the seat I experienced no backward movement, not even a grunt from the motor. I took apart the seat control and discovered the contact points on the rear movement selector were burned. Cleaned the points up with emery cloth, reassembled, tested, and it was good to go. Sorry no pics of the switch disassembled but if you've had the drivers window controller apart, the seat control is very similar only lesscomplicated.

It's going back together. New water pump, timing belt, crank and cam seals, pulleys, tensioners, heater t's, hoses, s-belt, fan bracket, and maybe a new radiator just in case. Next I'll get after the front wheel bearings and eventually it's off to Trollhole's for a steering rack. We're visiting family in NY this July so I'm trying to get it dialed in before that trip.

@JToobe when I first replaced my reverse lights with led it made a huge difference. Eventually I'm going to do my headlights whenever one of them finally burns out
That very opportunity had arrived for me when my driver's low beam went out. Headlight Experts ad popped up on Facebook so I took a look and impulse-bought high and low beam kits. Its plug and play and seems to be high quality. They better be for $100ish each kit!

Spent the afternoon replacing diff and Xfer case gear oil. The fluid that came out looked decent and the drain plugs had very little fine shavings attached to them. Good news as well was the front diff oil had zero moly in it. Took some time to try to stop the leak from the speedo unit by liberally lubing the O ring with wheel bearing grease. The O ring looked good so we shall see if the leak stops. Greased the prop shafts and filled the knuckles. I'm ready for another trip to VA this weekend. Well, at least the truck is. I'd rather stay down here!
