Installed the Slee headlight upgrade harness & I’m truly impressed. Kicking myself for not taking a before pic of the headlights. I really need some Depos but I’m still happy with the wiring upgrade and improved lighting. Not sure if the pic helps but the Slee wiring is taped in several places to my original wiring using the Tesa electrical tape and a handful of zipties. Sorry for not editing out my fat head on the left.

Not mine, not sure if he has posted here. I don’t know the guy, he is a friend of a friend. As I have been doing a complete rebuild on mine, I’ve thought of how absolutely soul crushing something like this would be. Even being insured, losing something you’ve poured blood, sweat, tears, and mucho money into would be devastating.

Where did you find the harness? I have been waiting a long time for these harnesses to be back in stock on slee's website.

A few weeks ago there was an instance of the transmission not shifting into 1st. Only happened once but I didn't want it to happen again.

I replaced the transmission solenoids (that part was easy) but failed at resealing the pan (twice). The first time I used the wrong FIPG (the black engine one) not very much of it and didn't wait overnight. The second time I tried the Permatex 90 minute "right stuff", used more of it and let it sit overnight but I ended up touching the solenoid wire on the top of pan during install and there was a gap :(

Next step is to get some longer bolts the same size and cut off the heads so I don't mess up the FIPG during reinstallation. Also some actual Toyota transmission FIPG (red).

On the positive side the transmission fluid has been flushed a bit since each effort results in another gallon of fresh fluid :)

Cobra transmission has all of the solenoids for $220. Made in Japan and fit perfectly.

did the solenoids make any difference in how the transmission behaves?

On Saturday, I swapped out the front differential pinion seal without much drama. Also drained and refilled the front diff and changed the engine oil and filter. Doing this on the street left my shoulder and neck out of whack...

Sunday, it was reinstalling the front sway bar with LCP severe duty front sway bar mounts. This time, I was in the driveway so I could use the welder. It still needs caster correction and new shocks but it feels a little more stable with the sway bar back on.

The only picture I have is this one from Monday morning of the odometer.

It sure would be nice if they provided a little more details. It looks like the top is a lid, and there might be another compartment underneath that but, they don't give anymore details or show anymore pictures.

The guy that makes them is on Facebook. He did not like it when I asked him why he raised the price from $350 to $450 overnight. This video may or may not have more info

And nice to know what it's made out of ?
Look like the latches are magnetic ?

That's what I was afraid of ! worked with it for years :bored: Have you seen what happens to it when it gets wet ? Also in the long run screws don't hold well in it. Hings and latches well fail prematurely.
