What Back Spacing for 16x8

I've got some 35x10.5R16 SSR's mounted on 7" wide 4" BS wheels. Running 2" bolt on spacers right now and have no clearance issues with full turns and the springs. Going to 1.5" spacers and I figure that will still be okay. That will give me real world 2.5" BS. I think anything less then 3" and you could well be hitting the springs, however that is more guess then confirmed.

I think I'll have to change my aim from the 280/85 16 Silverstone MT 117 to the 285/75 R16 Silverstone MT 117 Sport. - As my Hilux is a Crew Cab, the larger diameter Tyres would rub on the Seam on the back of the Cab. :(

Would then have Legal sized Tyres. :princess:

Will 4.25" Back Space 16x8 be allright with the 33.07x11.22 Tyres?

I had 255/85R16's on my BJ42 for a few years with the same rims mentioned above, and while my track was 1/2" inboard from stock 3.5" on each side, I had no issues with rubbage.

Just went outside and had a look underneith the 40, 80 and Hilux.

The Steer Arms of the Hilux stick outward inbetween the amount of the 40 and 80.
Which means that 4" Back Space is the way to go, And that a 7.5" wide Rim will be about zero Offset. :-* 7.5" Wide Rim will also just take a 285mm wide tyre. :princess:
