Going to sell the steel rims & tyres that came with this truck -35" bfg mudders on 15x8 rims( anyone interestd ) whats the best backset to run on a rim for a hj47 for a 16x10 or 16x8 for 33/12.50/16 equivelant ?

I would guess that it would not change and still need to be 3.5".

So would i have to run wheel spacers ?as the backspace off the 35's is between 3"-4" aprox , but they hit the tie rod arm parrellel to chassis at 2/3 full turn

I have a 1984 BJ45 Troopy. It use to have a 16x6 wheels and 305/70 R16 with no spacers. I recently installed 15x10 Eaton beadlock wheels with 33x11.5x15 Simex Tires. I thought this set up was Ok, until I installed it. The tie rod was rubbing against the front wheels. It needed some spacers and I put 1.25 all around. The back didn't need it, but I put it anyways to balance it out. Hope this helps. Jay:)
