What axles came in 87 suburban 3/4 (1 Viewer)

Wasn't sure where to ask this; figured you guys in the HardCore Corner would know more than others.
Anyway wife went home for Thanksgiving and guy back there is scraping out his 87 Suburban 4x4 3/4.
My question is did these have the d60 axles in the front?
Pretty sure they had the 14bolt in the rear.
But figured if the front was the 60 it might be worth me making the trip to check it out.

Either a 44/14bolt or a 10bolt/14bolt. Definitely not a 60. A 10-bolt will have a round diff and two "ears" on the lower half of the diff housing if you go to check it out. The 44 will be more pointed at the bottom and top of the diff housing
 
Plus the rear may not be a floater, but most likely if the seller's info is correct, it is a full-floater.

D60 fronts were very common in the 4x4 work trucks used by utility and phone companies. The most common available now seem to be the "dually" front hubs, which make for a wider track. Easy to convert to single hubs if needed.
 
Not sure if any suburban came with a 60 front. easiest way to see if a chevy has a 60 is to ask if the axle has 3 or 4 ubolts. The 60 only has 3 because the passenger side spring perch is built into the axle and two bolts go into the housing eliminating the need for the 4th u-bolt
 
Factory supplied with a 10 bolt front axle and a semi-float 14 bolt rear.

But anything is possible. And Suburban's never came from the factory with 60 fronts, they were only rated as 3/4 ton rigs. Again anything is possible.

1/2 ton and 3/4 ton's from '79 on up (until the went IFS) were 10-bolts. The rear would be a 14-bolt, although I believe in '87 they had mad the switch to the 9.5" semi-floating version rather than the 10.5" full floater...

The only Chevy you will find a D60 in is a '77 and up 1-ton (again, until the went IFS) or a military K5.

Umm, the military K5's were 3.08 geared 10 bolts front and rear. The trucks were 60/14 bolt (4.56 gears).

'87 Burb has a 10 bolt in the front.

CUCV Blazer has a 10 bolt in the front.

CUCV 1¼ ton truck has aD60 in the front.
