Still no progress on the 40 - turning the garage into a shop, while fun, is time consuming! I've been having fun trying my hand at woodworking - built a couple of benches for the garage.
The first is a "standard" workbench. I found these plans online - nothing fancy but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:
Inspired by that, I decided to design my own to make an "L" in the back corner. Then I got carried away, and added a drop leaf and casters to make a bench I can roll out into the driveway like a giant tool cart...
When inside, the back 18 inches folds down, and it becomes the "L" portion of the other bench:
Next will be adding this gigantic Holland bench vice my father in law found at a flea market Made in Erie, PA! There will be a smaller, 6" craftsman vice on the rolling table.
It's legitimately about 50lbs. Trying to figure out what bolts to use here...the holes are too small for 5/8, but too big for 1/2...I'll also need to reinforce the underside of the bench some. I'm thinking another layer of 3/4" ply, glued and screwed, then through-bolted, with some big washers, will probably do it.
Anyway - hopefully I'll have the shop back to "shop" status here soon - then back to the 40, which is waiting patiently, leaking all over the garage...

Been busy in the garage. Put the hardtop on the 40 last week and finally replaced the competition type seat belts and shoulder harnesses with stock type units. Had to pull both seats out to install the short stationary parts of the belts and was able to clean out a bunch of crud that had accumulated under them. Looks good now and with belts that allow you to move much more comfortable.
The 45 is running pretty good now. I've been driving it around without the top and cab rear it looks wierd that way but i enjoy driving it. The more I droive it the better it runs. Not sure why that is but one reason is I have probably used up most if not all of the old gas that was in the tank. I also think just exercising the truck has maybe freed up any riings or valves that got a little lazy while it sat since (at least) 2015. It's fun driving a truck with three on tree! Hopefully the top and cab rear will be done before the end of the month as I'd really like to get it back together and inspected.

I know the feeling - I was super excited when I closed on my place last year and FINALLY had a garage for the 40. Congrats!
PS - good to see another Delawarean on here - I just crossed the border into MD but grew up in the Hockessin area.

Landlords!Yeah, that apartment thing is for the birds, while I am already putting my fair share of $$$ into this place to fix a few things and replace a few appliances, I am surprisingly okay with it, I guess cause I feel I am putting equity into it

Definitely - I only know a couple cruiserheads in the Northern DE/MD area... Seems like we are sort of in the "no mans land" between capital cruisers to the south and Keystone to the north.

Best part: CA truck for 19 years! I wanted a locked, green cruiser but I couldn't pass up a CA truck that was on the East coast. I can always add ARB lockers if I start to wheel it.
