Nothing like ending a long day, scrubbing and lubing your balls and getting your nut huggers on!

No pics but had a few minutes and got the sunroof template cutout and one step closer to a sunroof delete on the 62. Also got the 18 gauge cut into manageable pieces. Will have some at the tech day coming up

Nice score!

Put some more miles on my new gears to break them in. Wandered over to a "new to me" parts rig I bought a few weeks ago. Aired the tires up and bolted the hood back on. Pretty clean little truck with a missing engine.

Nice! Was it a 3f? Looks like 15" Wheels. No engine means easy ls swap 😉
92 so yes 3FE. It would be easy to LS swap and go. After driving mine with the new gears, I do not plan to swap engines as I have complete spare drivetrain that is in good shape in my 97 parts truck.

Kayla gave me a few hours to wrap this up today. Not quite done but I think it looks great!

Got my intake back together and put everything back on the 80. Took her for a spin. Wow!! That new throttle cable makes a huge difference. Stutter is still there though but better? I could be fooling myself. New fuel pump goes in Wednesday and I'd that doesn't work,TPS. I'm trying to be mildly scientific here and test drive between each New part.

Keep up the fight David, truck will have a lot of nice fresh parts in the end regardless!!

Well ... good news and bad news. I installed the Delhi pump and a new sock and seal. Took her for a drive and there was no hesitation as far as I could tell. Then I stopped at the store and when I came back out she wouldn't start. I ended up putting the old pump back in. I think the plug doesn't seat tightly enough on the new one and it wiggled loose but I didn't want to mess with it in the parking lot. She started up but the hesitation was back on the drive home. I'm going to try and put the new sock on the old pump and see if that works before I buy another pump. The Delphi is going back. I'll just get a OEM if I have to get another one.

I had a happy surprise tonight. I looked at the instructions from Revolution. Said start with .074 shim. The factory shim was .080. I tried it. My set up was .067. I figured it would be close. Turned out it was about perfect!
