What are these tools???

I bought a tool box from a police auction about a year ago and finally got around to cleaning a drawer that was really dirty and found these two in there.

What do you guys make of them?

I have no idea on #2 #1 was an easy pick though.


Edit: I think they are related tool #2 is a master link clip remover.

Maybe #2 is for making cookies of a man with his arms up in the air like Rocky. Haha
 
I suspect #2 is for close tolerance car door fittings that no other tool can be used to unhook such as door handles window cranks handles etc.

I think you're right about the close tolerances. You can even see that part of the main shaft is flattened as to get into a tight spot...wait, that didn't sound right. :eek:

#2 has me stumped. I dont think it is for window cranks and door handles though. The hoop of wire in the center would prevent you from pushing the clips all of the way off of the splined shafts,

Tool #2 is a hook'em horns branding iron for steaks.
