I just installed new Wet Okole seat covers on my '01 LX. I am very pleased with the fit and quality. They look pretty good as well. I spend a good bit of time in the water here in Southern California and wanted something to protect the leather from the salt water.

I bought the front seat covers for $332 which included $40 "full piping", $20 seat pocket, shipping, and tax.

I ended up taking out the seats to install the covers. It would be next to impossible to install them without doing so. The seat bottom covers need to go under the seat trim. They also have straps that need to go under the seat, but above all the electronics. Removing the seats is a simple job and will ensure the covers are installed properly. It also gave me access to about $3.00 in spare change from the last owner.

I saw a few people making comments about the neoprene and back sweat. I've had these seat covers on for about one month now and made a few trips where it got over 100 degrees outside (my A/C needs to be charged also). I didn't notice any difference. The seat covers also have a good bit of padding in them so the seats feel even more plush.

Wow! Those look great. I had them in an old Jeep once and loved them, so it is great to know that I can install these when my seats wear out. Any details on the vendor?

I got these direct from the Wet Okole website. It took about 20 days to receive them from the time I placed the order. They are custom made so I understand the delay.

Also.....they don't list the LX 470 so I ordered the Land Cruiser covers and they fit just fine.

Be interested to see what you think of them in the summer. Doesn't seem like the neoprene would breathe much and I don't do well with swamp ass.

the ones on my 40 didn't. they also showed every faint bit of grease off my hands, tore easily and while they did a great job keeping my seats protected, the water sat on top of the seat (where ya need to sit) and took forever to dry (not an issue in a rig with a top).

I can agree with the comment about showing grease and dirt, but they do clean very easily. They are available in black (along with many other colors) which probably would be great for not showing dirt or grease, but I didn't want the covers to look conspicuous.

I don't quite understand the concern about the neoprene not breathing. I don't think I'd want it to breathe because water could then get trapped between the covers and the leather. With neoprene, water can't get to the leather.

I can see some concern if you are moving from cloth seats to these covers relative to "back sweat". But I'm moving from leather and the leather didn't exactly keep me bone dry on hot days. I haven't noticed a difference between the leather and the covers.

For aftermarket covers those look great.

They look good. Is that the light gray with black piping?

I have the canvas GT covers in my cruiser... My little bro has the Wet Okoles in his Jeep Wrangler and I like the Okoles better... He got a better price and more options by calling and ordering direct from their factory...

They also have a physical store in Orange County. Their website states they will install them for you. Although, I can't imagine they would have taken out my seats for no charge.

Very nice from the pictures.

How does Wet Okole handle the rear of the seat? Do you still have use of the map pockets? Any pics of the rear of the seat?

You lose the nets, but gain a much more functional pocket, IMHO. I posted some pics in this thread.
