There was some interest in these from some other threads so I decided to make it a separate thread with some more pics.

The Wet Okoles are very nice, and are exactly custom fitted to the vehicle they're made for (by that I mean they're not generic one-size-fits-all covers, they're actually sculpted for the seats in question). Also, the materials and construction are super high quality. They are a neoprene and nylon laminate with padding in the seat area. They are 100% waterproof which has already paid for itself in saving our leather hides from our two-year-old. The extra padding on the seat areas has sectioned embroidery to mimic the look and feel of original seats. The seat backs have new storage pouches (since the originals obviously get covered) that have zippered closures and heavy-duty mesh for drainage. I much prefer them over the original Toyota nets. You don't even have to remove the covers to clean them (thankfully, since they're a bit of a pain to install given the perfect fit). It's a very well thought out system.

This particular set retailed for ~$750 due to the custom "Land Cruiser" script on the front seats. I got them from a MUD member for ~$175. They're gray, and we have the tan interior, but it was too good of a deal to pass up. I had wanted a set of these for years, but just couldn't pull the trigger at the retail new purchase price. Enjoy the pics!

BTW, these also have openings at the sides of the front seat covers for the side airbags to deploy. They really did think of everything!

I went to their website and did a build without the airbags as I don't have them, with the pockets, and without the embroidery. They came to $540. Performance products shows them at $249 for the front and $249 for the rear but doesn't show if pockets, air bags, etc.... http://www.wetokole.com/

They do look great. How's the breathability/sweat factor? That's my main concern with these covers.

I've never had a problem, but I always have the climate control set at about 72, so we usually don't sweat. I think the nylon layer would absorb/wick, but not sure. The neoprene would, however, prevent sweat from reaching the leather, which I'll take even if I have to endure a sweaty shirt.

I did the same thing earlier this morning. I also ordered some swatches to see which color best matches the tan interior of my '99.

Those carpets look alot like mine. Of coarse, with 5 kids they get pretty beat up. Lots of stains. Love the seat covers.

Hehe, only one kid did all that... :grinpimp:

On the pricing, they must have gone down a bit or my memory sucks (either one is quite possible). Also, I can't seem to find the Land Cruiser script as an option on their website, but I know it was there (along with a lot of other options) a year ago.

I e-mailed them asking about the LC script. I'll post up when I get a response.

Can you feel the heated seats through them very well?

Yup, though (and I haven't timed it so not sure), it may take just a tad longer to feel the heat.

I think the gray looks like crap with the tan interior.

Since I'm such a nice guy and have a gray interior I'll take them off your hands for $150, $175 if you get the milk stain out.

No need to thank me. :flipoff2:

I ordered GT Covers for my front seats and have been happy with them. www.gtcovers.com (I think sin is a rep) The Wet Okole company has more options for logos and embrodery than their website lists. My brother just ordered some for the front seats in his Jeep and they gave him other options for seat logos when he spoke with a rep ordering. Apparently the have different jeep logos so i'm sure they could do landcruiser of the toyota emblem, etc.

You are the man! I've been looking for a way out, and now I can do so without losing any money!

Give me some time to think it over... :flipoff2:

I think I need me some of those sweet seat covers!!!

I have Okoles in my Land Rover - Series Truck so no A/C. Feel cooler than cloth, less "sticky" than leather or vinyl - but not as good as cloth there. But a pretty good compromise - esp in an open cab. For a LC, might be tempted to get cloth.
