Hey folks:
I am selling a new aftermarket tailgate for a Land Cruiser FJ45 long bed. I received this as part of a replacement bed for my FJ45 project. Unfortunately, the quality of the bed and associated parts was poor. While I received a full refund for the bed, including freight, it was not feasible to ship the bed back to the manufacturer. There are some panels I can still use to repair my project bed. However, there are other parts/panels I’m trying to sell to help the manufacturer recover some of the $ invested in having the bed manufactured.
This listing is for the tailgate. As you can see in the attached photos, there are a lot of grinding scars that are mostly on the “inside” surface of the tailgate. The embossed area for the “4X4” emblem is also circular instead of oval. I’m including many photos from different angles to allow you to judge condition for yourself. I’d say at the very least there are portions of the tailgate that could be used as cut outs to repair damaged or rusty tailgates. It’s possible to improve the tailgate using filler or fresh metal for the grinder gouges. Regardless, this is not going to be a perfect replacement.
