hi guys i wanted to ask were i can find clips online for the landcruiser fender flairs? the flare had been hit and a few clips broke.

Looks like CDan no longer has the fender gaskets and clips. Do you have any other suggestions for finding these?

As I recall someone here on mud used a molding that you use to put on the edge of the doors for protection. clips I don't have a clue on those.

Ouch! Seems like a lot of 80 parts are being discontinued lately. There are online Toyota parts retailers like "Toyota parts overstock dot com" (or something like that) but you're on your own to choose what to buy and they probably go through the same distribution channels as Dan and Beno. You may have to suck it up and go hunting at auto and hardware stores. There's got to be a solution out there somewhere. Good luck and post up when you find what works.

Which clips are you referring to?

I removed the upper bolt from the right rear fender. Halfway down on the door side a clip (similar to the clips that hold the inside trim of the doors to the doors) was in a hole in the door. The fender flare itself had pulled away from the door. It looks like the clip head popped off at one point which is why I was investigating. The root of the problem is the flare hangs off the door. That and the gasket is cracked and weathered badly.

Last week I ripped one off on the trail, sheared the tabs clean off.. I used 3M heavy duty automotive double back foam tape ,, works great. Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces, tape on, remove backing, press into place.. It does take a bit of patience and attention to detail, but that flare is on for good..

I've used the same clips that are in the doors in the past. Red I believe. The plastic insert in the panel had to come out and the clip when straight into the hole in the body. Might also want to try and see if you can find some longer "automotive panel fasteners" at lowes or home depot. Take one in and make sure the heads are similar. Anything that'll hold the flare in should work. I don't get too hyped up when it comes to OEM on these plastic clips that always break. If you need the metal "bolts" that are attached to the flares I have some of those I could mail out to you.

reviving old thread...anyone know a part number for these little red clips for rear fender?

They are different than the root clips but door clips can be used if you have no option. It's actually a square plug that is in the quarter panel into which a specific clip pops into. I'm sure I have the wrappers around here somewhere.
